It was about 4 feet this morning but currently about 2 feet and dropping as a very strong Offshore wind cancels out a lot of the swell .

A relatively poor outlook as once again very strong offshores will once again hold off any available swell. Likely to be very small or flat today. Worth checking the cams as occasionally long range swells can get through if your very lucky.

Thursday 12th

December

Generally a poor outlook as strong offshore winds again look likely to stop any left over swell dead in it’s tracks. A strong SE wind later may whip up something just as its getting dark. Our advice wait for later on Friday and through the weekend.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        N

UPDATE DUE TO CHANGE IN WEATHER - As most of the country will be pre occupied with who is running the country today our eyes are on looking at the surf. A change in weather patterns looks to delay the forecasted swell we predicted earlier in the week. Hopefully we may see a rise in surf much later in the day towards the end of the day. Check on the cams lunchtime onwards for any early cheeky surprises . Due to the delay in swell the weekend now looks much improved . N

The long range charts indicates the surf to be around 2-3 feet today but Low pressure movements are somewhat erratic so we will keep you posted nearer the time as to what is happening . Fingers crossed the forecast stays the same. One good thing is the wind is forecasted to be offshore all day long folks. Sunday looks similar but a touch smaller in the 2 feet range .
