Following on from the super popular Seaside that Mr Rob Machado brought to us in the UK in 2019, we are super stoked to be very soon stocking Rob’s new shape the Seaside and Beyond. This will be landing with us January 2020 and this new board is really causing quite a stir here at our HQ mainly due to the confusion its causing us. Is it a midlength, even Rob doesn’t know what to call it himself, but all we know at this stage from photos and videos shown that this board looks like a gamechanger in so many ways.
The Seaside was one of our surfboards of the year in 2019 and customer and staff feedback has been so positive, but this new model coming to us in the LFT technology is something pretty different to what we have traditionally seen from Firewire before.
Here’s what Rob says
” You can’t show up to the beach everyday with ten boards in your car… Instead it’s almost like, making your quiver a little bit smaller so that each board covers more ground.“
Today the Seaside and Beyond is something Rob calls “an extended version of the fun you’ve had already” on the Helium Seaside, but to us it’s more than fun, it’s a feeling; the sensation of speed on rail enhanced by an uncommon placement of quad boxes, inside of an often over looked area of board design. Just don’t call it a mid length because Rob’s not sure what to call it
