SECRET SPOT REVIEW:
This model has the bump squash tail which pulls in around the front fins and shortens the turning radius, making for quick directional changes and tight turns in smaller weaker surf. When the back foot is jammed at the back of the board a combination of a thin responsive tail and a razor sharp rail edge will keep the board equally stable through bottom / topturns in either bigger or more hollow waves.
There is decent volume distribution through the center of the board, which helps wave entry, wave count and speed through flatter sections and turns in weaker / smaller waves, whilst the nose of the board remains sleek and refined as you would expect from a high performance short board. We would certainly recommend the Alternator model due to its versatility and ability in all conditions, its pretty much a one board quiver...
