
The video format that the camera sends and your browser needs to run it is an
Active-X component, basically a piece of software that enables your computer
to view our video format. The camera itself has the software and should automatically
recognise that you have/hav'nt got it installed and ask you to download it.
If you are running Internet Explorer a pop up or drop down message should appear
with instructions on how to run/download the software, but if you have either
Windows Security Manager or firewall software enabled the download may be blocked.
This is why I recommend temporarily switching off your security or allowing
our site download privileges within the firewalls allowed/not allowed preferences
(please see your firewall help guide for assistance) and then try to refresh
or reload the Surfcam page.
Please remember to switch your firewall back on
after you have administered the camera software.
