Santa Cruz have switched from the PowerLyte Epoxy technology this year to a new Epoxy hybrid (EPX). The EPX are foam centred with a stringer but have a epoxy resin skin and finished in a traditional glass. The advantage of this is they look like a traditional board but have the added advantage of being lighter, they have more float, an incredible finish and are much stronger than a PU board.
