With a skateboard like kick tail and a cambered platform deck the GDECK’s foot positions create more power, control, better angles and comfort in tight turning situations.
The contours of the GDECK create a structure that produces a much stronger board against breakage. This strength in turn provides a stiffer more solid feel. The rider can hit the lip with more authority, land floaters, land airs, glide across flats without loss of speed or re- adjust time.
The GDECK has the same amount of board in different more functional places. This design isn’t meant to float any better, but to have a thinner rail with equal volume. The benefits of a thinner rail are that of sensitivity, bite, speed and release. Usually the over thinning of a rail will create unwanted “tippyness”. But with the GDECK’s platform out near the rail, it still has the needed stability.
GDECK 5’2” 5’5” and 5’10”
The wider outline and rounded nose give this board the speed and maneuverability needed for smaller surf. The wing and swallow reduce the tail area for a tighter fit.
The twin fin with trailer set up gives the rider good drive off the rail but still releases well off the tail. The tip to tip vee bottom provides easy rail to rail turning. The deep double concave cuts across the bottom curve for speed, but also hooks the rail for bite and extra lift. Our team calls this design the skateboard on water. We call it the GDECK SKYWALKER.
