Here's what Stokesy had to say.... Just wanted to let every one know my thoughts on the new TL2 boards and thank Surftech and the crew behind it. I've been riding EPS epoxy boards for about four/five years now so I'm pretty familiar with their characteristics and performance and I have had a lot of competitive success riding Surftech boards. So when Richard told me about the TL2 boards and what Surftech were trying to achieve performance wise, needless to say I was very excited and couldn't wait to try one. I have been riding the Surftech 5'10" UFO TL2 in all conditions now for over a month, 1ft to 4ft seems the ideal surf size as this is what the board was designed for but it handles well in larger surf to.
Its fast it drives through turns, it's really responsive and it has great flex, all I can say is WOW!. Surftech have made an amazing board and the most amazing thing is that I can get the same board over and over again. I can hardly control my excitement I'm 25 years old and when I paddle out on my TL2 its like being a grom again.
And one more thing I would like to thank Surftech for is that it has taken me about 10 years to figure out how to do an air reverse you can imagine the frustration building up in side me, I started to ride the TL2 and now I cant stop doing them YEEHA!!! - One stoked surfer Alan Stokes - British National Surf Champ.
