After the wave filled late autumn and early winter 2012 we now focus our thoughts on the light nights fast approaching and hopefully those warmer waters and longer surf sessions. So with those longer sessions then comes the need for lighter rubber in 4/3 and 3/2mm thickness, different shaped more fish or hybrid type surfboards and boardshorts for those lucky few in warmer climates.
Here at Secretspot we are particularly excited about the new Billabong wetsuits including the Revolution 4/3mm and the foil for both men and women. The entire Billabong range has drawn upon its ownership by Xcel wetsuits to produce some great looking wetsuits with many great technical features at an affordable price. We also have the Xcel suits coming in Drylock in 3/2 and 4/3 and for those wanting a more top end suit with the new Flashbomb lining from Ripcurl then these have just turned up at the warehouse.I was fortunate to test these suits out at the Ripcurl Pro in Peniche in November 2011 and the new lining really does work and initial sales this winter have shown the wetsuits and surf accessories to be real popular, not only warm but real quick drying so should be perfect for summer when we sometimes get a couple or sometimes three surfs in aone day.
Patagonia have taken their expertise from years of producing the best technical outdoor clothing and produced fine wetsuits with their merino wool lining. The form and fit of these wetsuits is second to none and whilst not being the most supple neopren on the market, I believe the durability of these wetsuits will outlive many others and this summer 2012 sees a new budget price range of Patagonia's wetsuits been introduced. These still retain all the high end features of the usual quality but does not have the merino wool lining which is what causes the high end Patagonia pricetag.
If you like what you see from our website, then please support a true independant surfshop.Established in 1989 in Scarborough we have been selling great surf product and accessories to fine purveyors of quality for many years and hopefully many more to come.If you need any help, advice or just to talk surf related bullshit then just holla!
See you out the back and hope 2012 is a wave filled good one.
Enjoy,Secretspot.Co.Uk.
